Female Football in Edmonton

Woman are making history in Football; playing, officiating, coaching, and organizing the sport.

In 2019, CDMFA formed a new Girls Tackle Division (ages 15-17) with the help of the Edmonton Storm, to help promote females playing football in a league that is their own! In 2020 the CDMFA added a second age division to our Girls Tackle Football programming now offering girls ages 13-17 a place to play.

The Edmonton Storm is a Women’s tackle football team (ages 18+) that participates in the Western Women’s Canadian Football League and has been a 3-time western conference champion!  Follow them now on both Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

There is now also a YEG Female Football Collective page.  With the goal that this page is a HUB for all things female, and football, in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. Tackle, flag, touch - they will cover it all.  Follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
